Land, Anthony Hamilton, Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half time, for five months beginning September I, 1938, at a cash compensation at the rate of sixty dollars ($60) a month. (October 4, 1938) Larson, Eleanor Florence, Junior Stenographer in the Office of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, beginning October 1, 1938, and continuing through August 31, 1939, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, at a cash compensation at the rate of ninety dollars ($90) a month. (October 6, 1938) Mace, James Curtis, Jr., Instructor in Electrical Engineering, in the College of Engineering, beginning October 17, 1938, and continuing through June 30, 1939, a t a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred eighty dollars ($180) a month. (October 14, 1938) McClure, Norman Bernardus, Instructor in Agricultural Education, on onehalf time, for one year beginning September I, 1938, at a cash compensation of one thousand three hundred twenty-five dollars ($1,325), in addition to one thousand three hundred twenty-five dollars ($1,325) a year paid by the Board of Education of Tolono, Illinois, for which the University assumes no responsibility. (October 4, 1938) Odum, Eugene Pleasants, Research Assistant in Zoology, on one-half time, for ten months beginning September I, 1938, at a cash compensation of six hundred dollars ($600). (September 27, 1938) Oliver, James V., Assistant in Anatomy, in the College of Medicine, beginning October I, 1938, and continuing through May 31, 1939, without salary. (September 30, 1938) Peirce, George Roland, Instructor in Electrical Engineering, in the College of Engineering, beginning October 17, 1938, and continuing through June 30, 1939, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred eighty dollars ($180) a month. (October 14, 1938) Philbin, Patrick George, Junior Accountant in the Business Office, beginning October 1, 1938, and continuing through August 31, 1939, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred ten dollars ($110) a month (this supersedes his previous appointm e n t ) .
