Contracts for Educational Services, College of Medicine

(24) The chancellor at the Medical Center has recommended that the University continue to contract for educational services on behalf of the College of Medicine in FY 1983. Such services provide assistance in the conduct of the medical education programs of the College of Medicine. It is further recommended that the chancellor, with the concurrence of the comptroller, be granted authority to approve changes in the amounts for any of the organizations listed above, within the totals shown, and to approve agreements with other organizations as needed within the grand total. Funds have been included in the appropriation bill of the General Assembly to meet the ordinary and contingent expenses of the University for FY 1983 and will be included in the College of Medicine operating budget authorization requests for FY 1983 to be submitted to the Board of Trustees. Award of these contracts is subject to the availability of such funds. The vice president for academic affairs and the executive vice president concur. I recommend approval.

On motion of Mr. Bettenhausen, these recommendations were approved by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, Dr. Donoghue, Mr. Forsyth, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Howard, Mr. Madden, Mr. Neal, Mrs. Shepherd, Mr. Stone; no, none; absent, Governor Thompson.
