may seem necessary or desirable in order to grant to Illinois Bell Telephone Company, an Illinois public corporation, hereinafter referred to as "Company," its successors, and assigns, the rights and easement to construct, operate, patrol, and maintain its communication lines including the necessary underground cables, wires, conduits, splicing boxes, surface terminals, markers and appurtenances upon, under, and across the land hereinafter specifically described, to form a part of a communication system to be owned by said Company in Champaign County, Illinois, to other lands and structures located beyond the land hereinafter described, and with tWe right of access to said land hereinafter described. Company shall agree to repair any damage caused to property of this public corporation by the construction, reconstruction, operation, patrolling, maintenance, renewal, or removal of said telephone communications cable, and to idemnify the University and its representatives and tenants from liability in connection with its activities; the term of said easement to be for such period as the easement may be used for the above-described purposes, but upon the discontinuation of use of or abandonment of said telephone communications cable, said easement to thereupon cease and determine without necessity of reentry or demand; the rights and easement granted to be limited to the extent that this public corporation has the present right and capacity to grant the same. The right-of-way easement shall be over, under, through, and across the following described property: A strip of land 10 feet of even width being 5 feet on each side of the centerline of said strip; said centerline being 1 foot north of the north face of an existing 10 foot wide portland cement concrete sidewalk; said centerline being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest comer of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of Section 7, Township 19 North, Range 9 East of the Third Principal Meridian, Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois; thence South along the West line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 7 a distance of 50.9 feet to the Westerly extension of a line which is 1 foot North of the existing North face of an existing 10 foot wide portland cement concrete sidewalk; thence East along the Westerly extension of a line which is 1 foot North of the existing North face of a 10 foot wide portland cement concrete sidewalk a distance of 14.00 feet to the East right-of-way line of Wright Street for a point of beginning; thence East along the centerline of the proposed easement strip, said centerline being 1 foot North of the existing North face of an existing 10 foot wide portland cement concrete sidewalk a distance of 448 feet to the West right-of-way line of Romine Street for a point of termination, said point of termination being 52.1 feet South of the North line of the Southwest Quarter of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 7; situated in the City of Urbana, in the County of Champaign and State of Illinois.

On motion of Mrs. Gravenhorst, the foregoing resolution was adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mrs. Day, Mr. Forsyth, Mrs. Gravenhorst, Mr. Hahn, Mr. Howard, Mr. Logan, Mr. Madden, Mrs. Shepherd, Miss Smith; no, none; absent, Governor Thompson. (The student advisory vote was: Aye, Mr. Filip, Mr. Starkeson; no, none.)
