Mr. Tinkoff was introduced; also Professor W. E. Britton, Chairman of the Committee on Accountancy, who was sworn as a witness by Miss Anna L. Neuber. Miss Louise Lietz acted as reporter. Judge Johnson introduced as evidence the transcript of the hearing of November 19, 1937, and of the adjourned session of December 10, !937> conducted by the University Committee on Accountancy, and exhibits 2-18 inclusive, documents pertaining to the charges against Mr. Tinkoff. The time from 4:30 to 8 p.m. was spent in hearing various objections and motions on the part of Mr. Tinkoff. At 8 p.m., on motion of Mr. Karraker, the Executive Committee adjourned, to meet at the University, in Urbana, at 9 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 1938, to continue the hearing. The respondent, Paysoff Tinkoff, agreed to this time.

SECOND SESSION, A P R I L 27, 1938 When the Board convened after the recess, there was no quorum. APPOINTMENTS MADE BY THE PRESIDENT The Secretary presented for record a list of appointments made by the President of the University.

Ades, Harlow W., Assistant in Zoology, on one-half time, beginning May I, 1938, and continuing through J u n e 30, 1938, at a cash compensation of sixty dollars ($60) a month (this supersedes his previous appointment). (April 15, 1938)' Benner, Thomas E., to give instruction in Education, in the Summer Session of 1938, beginning June 20, 1938, and ending August 13, 1938, involving additional service not contemplated in his appointment to teach during the two semesters of the regular academic year, at an additional compensation of nine hundred dollars ($900) for the session. (April 9, 1938) Boyd, Mrs. Ella, Director of Social Activities in the Mary E. Busey Hall, for the Summer Session of 1938, beginning July 1, 1938, and continuing through August 31, 1938, at a cash compensation at the rate of sixty-five dollars ($65) a month, and maintenance, including living quarters, board, and personal laundry, while on duty. (April 5, 1938) Browne, Robert B., to give instruction in Education, in the Summer Session of 1938, beginning June 20, 1938, and ending August 13, 1938, involving additional service not contemplated in his appointment to teach during the two semesters of the regular academic year, at an additional compensation of six hundred sixty-six dollars sixty-six cents ($666.66) for the session. (April 9, 1938) Coombe, J. V., Special Research Assistant in Civil Engineering, in t h e Engineering Experiment Station, beginning March 1, 1938, and continuing until further notice, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred ninety dollars ($190) a month (this supersedes his previous appointment). (March 23, 1938) Dube, Paul H., Assistant and Second Year Resident in the Department of Orthopaedics, in the College of Medicine, beginning April 1, 1938, and continuing through June 30, 1938, with a vacation allowance on the basis of three weeks a year, the cash compensation being at the rate of eight hundred dollars
