1937] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS RESOLUTION O N THE DEATH OF DR. WILLIAM L. NOBLE 545 Dr. Meyer presented the following resolution, which was unanimously adopted. The Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois has learned with deep sorrow of the death of Dr. William L. Noble, a former member of this Board, who passed away on October 14, 1937. Dr. Noble served on the Board of Trustees for two terms, from March, 1921, to March, 1933. During three years of this period he also served as President of the Board. The Board of Trustees desires to express its appreciation of the services of Dr. Noble, not only as a member of this body but in other public offices as well. As an honored member of the medical profession he also served mankind long and well. In recording this appreciation and tribute to the memory of a former colleague, the Board directs its Secretary to send a copy of this resolution to the family of Dr. Noble as an expression of the Board's deepest sympathy with them in the great loss they have suffered.
