BOARD OF TRUSTEES

Building (or a total loan of $1,091,000, in addition to the outright grant of $366,000 previously approved), the Government now offers to finance the construction of this building through the purchase of bonds to be issued by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois in the amount of the loan. Resolutions numbered one to four are submitted, accepting this offer and otherwise complying with the conditions and requirements relating to this grant and loan: (1) acceptance of offer; (2) appointment of Trustee; (3) designation of officer of the Board to sign documents; (4) conveyance of title to the land on which the building is to be erected to the Trustee. The following formal actions by the Board, or by its Executive Committee, will be necessary later, when the documents have been prepared: (1) approval of a trust agreement with the Trustee; (2) approval of a lease of the property from the Trustee to the University. This report was received for record.

ACCEPTANCE OF FEDERAL F U N D S FOR MEDICAL A N D DENTAL BUILDING

The President of the University, Dr. Arthur Cutts Willard, presented the offer of the United States of America to aid by way of loan and grant in financing the construction of a Medical and Dental College Building in Chicago. After discussion, the following resolution, numbered 1 and entitled "A resolution accepting the offer of the United States to the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois to aid by way of loan and grant in financing the construction of a Medical and Dental College Building in Chicago" was proposed by Mr. Barrett, read in full, and adopted by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Barr, Mr. Barrett, Mrs. Freeman, Mr. Karraker, Dr. Meyer, Mr. Wieland, Mr. Williams; no, Mr. Mayer; absent, Mr. Horner, Mrs. Plumb, Mr. Pogue.

Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois: Section 1.
