SURVEY OF MAPLE AVENUE

(8) A report of the status of affairs concerning the survey of Pennsylvania (Maple) Avenue, in Urbana. This report was received for record.

SALARY OF DEAN LEONARD

(9) A recommendation that the salary of the Dean of W o m e n , Miss Leonard, be made £6500 a year, beginning September r, 1930. O n motion of Mr. Armstrong, this recommendation was adopted.

TERM OF PRESIDENT CHASE BEGUN

President Kinley reported that he had made arrangements (with the approval of the President of the Board) to transfer to Dr. Harry Woodburn Chase at 11 o'clock a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 1930, the keys of his office as a token of the transfer of the duties and responsibilities of the office of President of the University. The keys were transferred as arranged. O n motion of Mr. Armstrong, this transfer was made a matter of record, and Dr. Chase was officially declared to be President of the University as of this day and hour. USE OF PRESIDENT'S HOUSE AND FURNISHINGS Mr. Barr requested the Executive Committee to make a record of the f c that the at understanding as to the leasing of the President's House to Dr. Kinley is as follows:
