APPROPRIATION FOR RADIO EQUIPMENT (9) A recommendation that an appropriation of $675, or so much thereof as may be necessary, be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for the purchase of a buffer for the radio station transmitter. The Federal Radio Commission requires all broadcasting stations to have such equipment to restrict deviation from their assigned frequencies to within fifty cycles. O n motion of Mrs. Hopkins, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r . Barrett, M r . Blair, Mrs. Grigsby, Mrs. Hopkins, Dr. Noble, M r . Williams; no, none; absent, M r . Emmerson, Mrs. Evans, M r . Trees. APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR REXFORD NEWCOMB AS DEAN OF T H E C O L L E G E O F FINE A N D APPLIED A R T S (10) A recommendation that Professor Rexford Newcomb of the Department of Architecture be appointed Dean of the College of Fine and Applied Arts beginning March 8, 1932 and continuing until September I, 1933, and Professor of the History of Architecture on indefinite tenure, at a combined salary of $9,000 a year. O n motion of Mrs. Grigsby, this appointment was made. THE SUMMER SESSION STAFF FOR 1932 (11) Recommendations from the Director of the Summer Session for appointments to the Summer Session Staff for 1932, the position and salary proposed being indicated in each case. I recommend approval of these appointments and request authority to make such adjustments and additional appointments as may be necessary. O n motion of M r .
