President Emeritus Kinley then presented an order on H. S. Capron of the First National Bank of Champaign for the $20,000 worth of securities to constitute the endowment. O n motion of Mrs. Grigsby, the Comptroller was authorized and instructed to take possession of, and to transfer, the securities to the Treasurer of the University.

PRESIDENT EMERITUS KINLEY RELIEVED FROM BEING SUBJECT T O CALL. T O D U T Y

President Emeritus Kinley asked to be relieved from being subject to call for University duty while he is holding the commission from the Century of Progress Exposition for duties abroad. O n motion of Dr. Noble, this request was granted.

PAYMENT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES ON SECOND UNIT OF MEDICAL A N D DENTAL COLLEGE LABORATORIES BUILDING

The Supervising Architect presented a request from Granger & Bollenbacher for a payment of $7,000 on their contract for professional services on the second unit of the Medical and Dental College Laboratories Building. O n motion of Mrs. Grigsby, this payment was authorized.

CONTRACT FOR LINOLEUM IN THE WOMAN'S GYMNASIUM

The Supervising Architect submitted the following schedule of bids for linoleum in the Woman's Gymnasium:

The total cost will be approximately $1,550.00 and will be charged to the Furnishing and Equipment item in the Physical Plant Budget. T h e two small items of brass edging and thresholds will not be included in the contract as the Bachman Company's prices are too high, and these items can be purchased locally to advantage. O n motion of Doctor Noble, this contract was awarded to the lowest bidder as recommended.
