Company is not in accordance with our drawings and specifications. W e therefore recommend that this contract be awarded to the W . M . Welch Mfg. Company for the amount of their bid of $6,354.15. APPROPRIATION FOR PUBLICITY AND RADIO STATION

(22) A request from the Director of Publicity and the Director of the Radio Station for an appropriation of $400, $300 for Publicity and $100 for the Station. This supplementary appropriation is needed because of certain abnormal operating expenditures on the Publicity side and the fact that the Director has been obliged to go to Washington four times this year for conferences with the Radio Commission and on other business in connection with the Radio Station. I recommend that the sum of $400 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for this purpose. O n motion of M r . April 30, 1931 Board of Trustees, University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois Dear Sirs: W e have audited the books of the University of Illinois for the quarter ended March 31, 1931, and submit the following brief summary of the work done and the result of the audit: The Cash Receipts have been verified by checking all cash receipts vouchers into the cash book and examining a substantial portion of the original departmental records. Cash received as recorded has been duly deposited with the University Treasurer. The warrants drawn on the University Treasurer and the vouchers certified to the State Auditor have been checked into the cash book and a substantial portion of the supporting vouchers has been examined with respect to authorization, object of expenditure and receipt of goods or services by the University.
