B O U N D A R I E S O N PENNSYLVANIA A V E N U E O n motion of Dr. Noble, the committee on Buildings and Grounds was directed to see that a survey of the boundaries of the University property bordering on Pennsylvania or Maple Avenue and the "Gallivan tract" is made, and to report the results to the Board. DATE OF NOVEMBER MEETING O n motion of Mr. Trees, it was voted to hold the November meeting at 9 o'clock a.m. on Friday, November 14, 1930, at the Blackstone Hotel, in Chicago. APPOINTMENTS MADE BY THE PRESIDENT The Secretary of the Board presented for record a l s of appointments it made by the President of the University. Afremow, Melvin Louis, Assistant in Internal Medicine, in the College of Medicine, for eleven months beginning October 1, 1930, without salary. (October 10,1930)1 Alexander, Almira, Stenographer in the Graduate School, for eleven months beginning October 1, 1930, subject to the rules of the Civil Service Commission, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100) a month. (September 24. 1930) Allen, Frank Hedrick, Assistant in the Bureau of Business Research, on one-half time, for nine months beginning October 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of seventy dollars ($70) a month. (October i£, 1930) Babcock, Lucy Ann, Assistant in the Reference Department of the Library, on one-half time, beginning September 15, 1930, and continuing until September 1, 1931, at a cash compensation at the rate of fifty-eight dollars thirty-three and one-third cents ($58.33%) a month. (September 19, 1930) Bevis, Neva Audra, Stenographer and Clerk, in H o m e Economics Extension, in the Agricultural Extension Service, for eleven months beginning October 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred five dollars ($105) a month. (October 15, 1930) Bone, James Harris, Technician in the Department of Physiology, in the College of Medicine, for eleven months beginning October 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred dollars (Jioo) a month. (October 16, 1930) Bradley, C. W., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half time, for four months beginning October 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of sixty dollars ($60) a month (this supersedes his previous appointment for the first semester only). W., Assistant in Chemistry, on one-half time, for four months beginning October 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of seventy dollars ($70) a month (this supersedes his previous appointment for thefirstsemester only).
