(21) A n offer from Mr. W . L. Abbott to sell to the University a small tract of land in Whiteside County. O n motion of D r . N o b l e , the President of the University w a s requested to notify M r . A b b o t t that the B o a r d regrets that it does not s e e m advisable to purchase this land.

OFFER OF LAND AT OLNEY

(22) A n offer of 115 acres of land at Olney, established as a bird refuge by the late Doctor Ridgway. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this matter w a s referred to the President of the University for consideration a n d report. OFFER OF BRONZE BUSTS FROM 1LLI NOIS PRESS ASSOCIATION (23) The Illinois Press Association has established an Illinois Editorial Hall of Fame in honor of prominent Illinois editors who have contributed largely to the advancement of journalism in the State and the Nation. The Association wishes to present to the University at this time eight bronze busts, valued at twenty-five hundred dollars each, of the following editors: Victor Fremont Lawson, 1850-1925—editor and publisher of Chicago Daily N e w s — Lorado Taft, sculptor. Joseph Medill, 1819-1899—editor and publisher of Chicago Tribune—Oskar J. W . Hansen, sculptor. Elijah Parish Lovejoy, 1802-1837—martyred abolitionist editor of Alton—Oskar J. W . Hansen, sculptor. Henry Wilson Clendenin, 1837-1926—editor and publisher of Illinois State Register, Springfield—Lorado Taft, sculptor. David Wright Barkley, 1842-1908—founder of the Wayne County Press, Fairfield— Viola Norman, sculptor. William Osborne Davis, 1837-1911—founder of Bloomington Pantagraph—Albin Polasek, sculptor. Edward Wyllis Scripps, 1854-1926—affiliated with Scripps-Howard Newspapers— Jo Davidson, sculptor. Henry Means Pindell, 1860-1924—Peoria Journal-Transcript—Oskar J. W . Hansen, sculptor. I recommend that this offer be accepted and that the Board send to the officers of the Illinois Press Association an expression of its appreciation of this gift. O n motion of M r . S i m p s o n , this gift w a s accepted, a n d the President of the University w a s requested to transmit to the officers of the Press Association a n expression of the Board's appreciation of the generous action of the Association.

(24) A report that the following architects have been appointed as members of the Plym Fellowship Committee for 1930-31: Mr. Howard L.
