University had been invited to be present at the separate meetings of the Board committee. Mr. Barr stated that many letters had been received concerning persons who might be selected, that many persons had been interviewed by members of the committees, and that the Committee felt that it was making satisfactory progress. This report was received for record. APPOINTMENTS MADE BY PRESIDENT KINLEY The Secretary presented for record a l s of appointments made by the it President of the University. Alphron, Richard B., Technician in the Department of Pathology and Bacteriology, in the College of Medicine, for seven months beginning February 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of one hundred dollars ($100) a month. (January 20, 1930)1 Badger, Alfred Earl, Research Assistant in Ceramic Engineering, in the Engineering Experiment Station, for seven months beginning February 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of two hundred dollars ($200) a month. (January 21, 1930) Baker, Edward B., Instructor in the Department of Physics, in the College of Engineering, forfivemonths beginning February 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of two hundredfiftydollars ($250) a month. (January 6, 1930) Black, Louis R., Student Assistant in the Air Corps Unit, in the Department of Military Science, forfivemonths beginning February 1, 1930, at a cash compensation at the rate of ten dollars ($10) a month.
