O n motion of Dr. Noble, the President of the University was directed to ascertain the facts concerning this exchange of land, and, i f the facts warranted such action, to make a recommendation to the Executive Committee, individually by wire or otherwise, in order to clear the title of the City of Champaign to the part of this street involved. O n motion of M r . Trees, the Supervising Architect was authorized to confer with the authorities of the City of Champaign in an effort to reach an agreement concerning the cost of the public improvement of Wright street between Springfield and University avenues. USE OF ALUMNI ADDRESS LIST (39) A l t e from Mr. Roseberry concerning a contract with the magazine "Time" etr for the addressing of envelopes to alumni: February 4, 1930 President David Kinley, University of Illinois D e a r President Kinley: President Pillsbury has asked m e to submit for your approval the question of renewing our contract with Time Inc. calling for seven insertions in the Illinois Alumni N e w s of page advertising at $357.00 gross for the contract, or at the rate of $51.00 per page. The contract provides that w e are to address about 30,000 envelopes for Time to circularize our alumni twice within the yearly period of the contract, April ist, 1930, to March 31, 1931. Both President Pillsbury and Chairman C. A. Kiler of our advertising committee approve this contract and w e hope you will give your consent. In view of the fact that the alumni directory is now off the press w e all feel that w e should take whatever contracts are offered on this basis, because the Time Inc. or any other firms might easily obtain a copy of the directory and do their own addressing. M a n y of the alumni associations have been accepting advertising on this basis for some time past, and our executive committee is of the opinion that we should accept such advertising as long as the addresses published in the directory are reasonably good. Very sincerely yours, C. J. Roseberry Executive Manager O n motion of Mr. Trees, this matter was referred to the Committee on Alumni for consideration and report. O n motion of M r . Barr, i was voted that when the Board does t adjourn, it adjourn to meet at the call of the President of the Board.
