At this point M r . Walter T. Fisher entered the meeting and presented to President Armstrong a letter, which was not read to the Board but which President Armstrong stated was a personal letter addressed to M r . Walter T. Fisher and signed by Len Small and stated that M r . Fisher had been appointed a Trustee in place of Mrs. A n n a Wilmarth Ickes, resigned. T h e oath of office having been administered by the Secretary, M r . Fisher took a seat with the Board. APPROPRIATION FOR DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL, HUSBANDRY (3) On recommendation of Dean Mumford, I recommend that the excess of Animal Husbandry receipts from sales over the budget estimate for 1927-28, amounting to $3,496.34, be appropriated to the department of Animal Husbandry, to be used for the publication of four manuscripts which the department has prepared as the result of its investigations of swine. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this appropriation w a s m a d e , b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r . Fisher, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Simpson, M r . Trees; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, Dr. Noble, M r . Small. APPROPRIATION TO LAW LIBRARY (4) On request of Dean Harno, I recommend that an appropriation of $2,500 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to the College of Law for additions to the Law Library. O n motion of M r s . Busey, this appropriation w a s m a d e by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r . Barr, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r . Fisher, M r s . Grigsby, M r . APPROPRIATION FOR MEDICAL LIBRARY (5) On request of the Library Committee of the College of Medicine for additional funds, and on recommendation offor $2,450 P. L. Windsor the Reserve and Contingent recommend that an appropriation of additions made from of the University Library, I Fund to the College of Medicine Director be to the Medical Library.
