C O R N B O R E R INVESTIGATION (28) I have authorized the Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station to enter into an agreement with the Bureau of Public Roads of the United States Department of Agriculture for a cooperative Investigation of the Mechanical Control of the European Corn Borer. REQUEST OF PALESTINE COMMUNITY HIGH SCHOOL FOR USE OF STRIP O F P A L E S T I N E E X P E R I M E N T FIELD (29) The Palestine Community High School authorities request permission to use a border strip of one of our experimentalfieldsadjoining the grounds of the Community High School to enlarge their athletic field, the Community High School to pay the expense of moving the fence and the heavy corner posts. This experimentfieldwas given to the University by the Trustees of Schools of Township Number Seven (7) North Range Eleven (11) West of the Second Principal Meridian of Crawford County, the condition being that if the Board of Trustees of the University shall at any time discontinue the use of said land for the purposes of agricultural experiments or demonstration for more than two consecutive years in one period the title shall revert. Therefore, an agreement is necessary for the purpose between the Board of Trustees and the Trustees of the Schools of the Township concerned, and I recommend that the following agreement be executed:

AGREEMENT

This agreement made and entered into by and between the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, hereinafter called The University, and the Trustees of Schools of Township Number Seven (7) North Range Eleven (11) West of the Second Principal Meridian of Crawford County, State of Illinois, hereinafter called The School. Witnesseth, that The University for and in consideration of the sum of One Dollar in hand paid, does hereby lease to The School the following described real estate, to-wit: Beginning at a point 287.6 feet West and 13V2 rods North of the Southeast corner of the Southwest one-quarter (SWJ4) of Section Thirty-four (34) Township Seven (7) North, Range Eleven (11) West of the Second Principal Meridian; thence West 228 feet, thence South 19.9 feet, thence East 228 feet, thence North 19.9 feet to place of beginning, deeded to The University by The School on March 13, 1919, for use as a part of the football field of the Palestine Community High School. The School agrees to meet all expense of moving the present fence including the heavy corner posts.
