This report w a s received for record. GIFT OF CAHOKIA MOUND PAINTING (32) Dr. Warren K. Moorehead, of Andover, Massachusetts, has presented the University a painting of the large Cahokia Mound known as Monks Mound, painted by Miss Adele R. Brooks, formerly of Monticello Seminary, at Godfrey, Illinois, now of St. Louis, Missouri. The painting shows Monks Mound as it appeared about the year 1876, before i suffered damage due to t encroachments of various kinds. This report w a s received for record. GIFTS TO THE MUSEUM OF EUROPEAN CULTURE (33) Professor N. C. Brooks, Curator of the Museum of European Culture, reports the following gifts to the Museum, the acceptance of which I have authorized: From Mrs. A. H. Lybyer, of Urbana,fiveembroidered Persian doilies. From Mrs. Ola Hunt, of Sparland, Illinois, an old lace veil made by her grandmother about a hundred years ago. GIFTS TO THE COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING (34) Dean Ketchum reports the following gifts to the College of Engineering, the acceptance of which I have authorized: From the American Steel Foundries (through Mr. Craig P. Hazelet, Chief Engineer and General Manager of Scherzer Rolling Life Bridge Company), steel specimens for use in connection with the investigation of steel rollers—valued at $250. From the David White Company, of Chicago, a Kern Level—valued at $95. From the Sunbeam Electric Manufacturing Company, of Evansville, a locomotive headlight turbo-generator—valued at $150.
