AUDIT OF THE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION ACCOUNTS (19) In accordance with the by-laws of the Athletic Association, I submit a report from the Comptroller of the audit of its accounts for the six months ending December 30, 1927. The Comptroller reports that they "found things in a very satisfactory shape in this audit." This report w a s received for record. COLLECTION OF LABOR LITERATURE (20) I desire to inform the Board that at the request of Honorable Victor A. Olander, Secretary-Treasurer of the Illinois State Federation of Labor, President William Green, of the American Federation of Labor, has requested the National and International Unions and State Federations of Labor to send our University Library as complete a set as is obtainable of the proceedings of their annual conventions, the bound volumes of their official Journal, and other official publications, and also to place the Library on their mailing list to receive such documents in the future. Mr. Green also has sent the Library a duplicate set of the pamphlets of the American Federation of Labor. Every student of economics will appreciate the value of this contribution. Replaces myself thanked covering 71 the University. I have previous contract them for pairs of cables. APPROPRIATION FOR PRESIDENT'S RECEPTIONS AND ENTERTAINMENTS (21) I request an appropriation of $500 from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to the President's Receptions and Entertainments Fund, to supplement the appropriation for the current year.
