RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT ON THE USE OF ELECTRICITY IN AGRICULTURE

(28) I report the extension of the agreement entered into in 1925 and renewed in 1926 (Minutes, pages 171 and 598) with the Illinois State Electrical Association and the Central Illinois Public Service Company for a cooperative investigation for the use of electricity in Agriculture, to January I, 1928. This report w a s received for record.

REPORT OF GIFT OF NATIONAL DUROC RECORD ASSOCIATION

(29) I report the receipt through Dean Mumford, of the College of Agriculture, of a check for $250 sent as a scholarship awarded to Mr. J. D. Olson, Leland, Illinois, by the National Duroc Record Association, of Peoria, Illinois. The check has been sent to the Comptroller and I have advised him to disburse it in accordance with the recommendation of the Dean of the College of Agriculture, as requested by the Association. This report w a s received for record. VACATION OF CERTAIN STREETS IN COLLEGE PLACE (30) In accordance with the resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees on September 22, 1926, as amended July 14, 1927, the city of Champaign on August 16 passed the following ordinance, No. 286 of the Council of the City of Champaign, vacating the streets in College Place mentioned in the resolution. The ordinance was recorded on August 31, 1927, Book 19, page 232 in the Recorder's office, County of Champaign. The original papers are in the custody of the Secretary of the Board.

ORDINANCE VACATING STREETS

Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Champaign: Section 1. That, in acceptance of and compliance with the terms and conditions of the following resolution adopted by the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois, on July 14, 1927. "Be it resolved that the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois hereby agrees, and assures the City Commissioners of Champaign, that it will open a street sixty feet wide, the north line of which shall be 439.21 feet south of the center line of Armory Avenue measured on Fourth Street, and 439.25 feet south of the center line of Armory Avenue measured on First Street; P R O V I D E D that the City Commissioners of Champaign will vacate all streets in the tract known as College Place south of the south line of the proposed street between the west line of Fourth Street and the east line of First Street"; the streets and highways, within College Place in the City of Champaign, hereinafter described, to wit: (1) Gregory Avenue from the East property line on First Street to the West property line on Fourth Street; (2) Williamson Street from a line 466.24 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue to a line 769.35 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue which line coincides with the North property line of Gregory Avenue. (3) Arbor Street from a line 466.23 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue to a line 769.69 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue which line coincides with the North property line of Gregory Avenue; (4) Third Street from a line 466.22 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue to a line 770.04 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue which line coincides with the North property line of Gregory Avenue; (5) Euclid Street from a line 466.21 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue to a line 770.39 feet South of South property line of Armory Avenue, which line coincides with the North property line of Gregory Avenue; be and the
