On motion of Dr. Noble, this recommendation was approved. LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR JAMES M. WHITE (21) I report that Professor James M . White, Supervising Architect, was given sick leave from December 27, 1926, to January 10, 1927. This report was received for record.

LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR E. E. BAUER

(22) I report that Mr. E. E. Bauer, instructor i Civil Engineering, was given n sick leave from December 7 to December 22. Mr. Bauer underwent an operation on the former date and was not able to return to his classes before the beginning of the Christmas vacation. This report was received for record. ROYALTIES ON THE KUNZ PHOTO-ELECTRIC CELL (23) The Comptroller has r c i e a check f r $140 from the DeForest Phonoeevd o films, Inc., in payment of the royalties on the Kunz photo-electric cell, in accordance with their agreement with us. I recommend this money be credited to the Reserve and Contingent Fund. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation w a s concurred in. FUNDS FOR ACOUSTICAL TREATMENT OF RADIO STATION (24) The Supervising A c i e t has r c i e from the Graybar E e t i Company, rhtc eevd lcrc Inc., a check for $1000 payable to the University, which is the amount Mr. Sullivan had deposited with that company for the acoustical treatment of the Radio Station. He recommends that this money be accredited to the Radio Station Fund in order that i may be used for the purpose intended. t I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of Dr. Noble, this recommendation was concurred in. ARCHITECTURAL BUILDING ELEVATOR AND ROOF (25) The Supervising Architect reports that the following bids have been received on the elevator for the Architectural Building and for the roofing and sheet metal work on the same building: ELEVATORS Bidders Bid Otis Elevator Company $ 4,893 Hollister Whitney Company 5,oi6 Montgomery Elevator Company 5,5+0 Warner Elevator Company 5,850 ROOFING AND SHEET METAL Bidders Bid Henry Reuter & Sons $20,500 J. Smith S. Company i 22,993 He recommends that the contract for the elevator be awarded to the Otis Elevator Company at their bid of $4,893, which i the low bid, and that the cons tract for the roofing and sheet metal work be awarded to Henry Reuter & Sons at their bid of $20,500, which is the low bid. I concur in these recommendations. O n motion of M r . Barr, the contract for the elevator w a s awarded to the Otis Elevator C o m p a n y , as recommended. O n motion of M r . Barr, the contract for the roofing and sheet metal work w a s awarded to Henry Reuter & Sons, as recommended.
