REPAIRS ON MILITARY STABLES (6) O n November 13, shortly before noon, a fire was discovered in the hay in the mow over the center section of the Military Stables. The conclusion of an investigation by a board of officers of the Military Department is that the fire originated through spontaneous combustion in the hay. The loss of government property, estimated at $1,022, falls on the government. The damage to the building has been repaired at a cost of $2,200. I recommend that $2,200 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to meet this loss. O n motion of M r . Barr, this appropriation w a s m a d e , by the following vote: A y e , M r . APPROPRIATION FOR INFORMATION OFFICE (7) O n request of Mr. H. E. Cunningham, Director of the Information Office, I recommend that $300 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund for the Information Office for wages of temporary employees, to pay the wages of an assistant mail carrier for the rest of the academic year. DISCONTINUANCE OF CURRICULUM IN PHARMACEUTICAL CHEMISTRY (8) The University Senate (meeting of December 6, 1926) recommends that the curriculum in Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences be discontinued, effective September 1, 1927. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this recommendation was approved. GRADUATE WORK IN THE SUMMER SESSION (9) The University Senate (meeting of December 6, 1926) recommends the f l olowing revision of the third sentence of the regulation with reference to graduate work in the summer session, this revision to become effective in the summer session of 1927: Attendance during four out of six consecutive summer sessions is considered the equivalent of one year in residence. O n motion of M r . Barr, this recommendation w a s approved. CURRICULA IN CHEMISTRY AND CHEMICAL ENGINEERING (10) The University Senate (meeting of December 6, 1926) has approved certain minor changes in the curricula in Chemistry and in Chemical Engineering for transmission to the Board of Trustees. The revised curricula are as follows:
