AGREEMENT WITH THE ILLINOIS STATE ELECTRIC ASSOCIATION A N D THE CENTRAL ILLINOIS PUBLIC SERVICE C O M P A N Y (30) I report for record the extension of the agreement entered into last year (Minutes, February II, 1925, page 171) with the Illinois State Electric Association and the Central Illinois Public Service Company for a cooperative investigation of the practicability of the use of electricity in agriculture. These companies have deposited a further sum of $5,000. This report was received for record.

LEASE TO ILLINOIS BELL TELEPHONE COMPANY (32) At the last meeting of the Board the Comptroller reported among his leases and purchase orders a lease of the use of certain of our cables to the Illinois Bell Telephone Company, as follows: 71 pairs of University cable conductors, January 1, 1926, indefinite tenure, rental $191.70 per annum, in advance. Further information was asked about this and I herewith submit it. The records show that this contract was made, at the request of the Supervising Architect, on March 25, and the terms of the lease were approved by the Supervising Architect. It is a renewal of a similar lease made July 1, 1921. The contract provides for a payment of $191.70 annually to the University by the Illinois Bell Telephone Company for the use of the University cable Conductors in carrying its service on our campus. It i s terminable on thirty days notice. This report was received for record. FIRE DAMAGE IN DENTAL BUILDING (33) The Comptroller recommends that the sum of $2,740 received from the insurance adjusters on account of thefirein the Dental Building April 1, be appropriated for the purpose of repairing the damage resulting from the fire.
