Armstrong, these recommendations were adopted, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, Dr. Noble, M r . Trees, M r . W h a m ; no, none; absent, M r . Barr, M r . Blair, M r . Small. SERVICES OF MR. PLATT (22) The Supervising Architect has presented a statement received from Mr. Piatt for services rendered which can not be paid for out of special buildings appropriation. Professor White says "The work is really an extension and probably the completion of this (his) work in connection with our campus plan. M a y we have a special appropriation to cover this expense?" The total amount of the bill is $125340 and covers a period of three years. I submit the matter and recommend an appropriation from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to meet the bill. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this bill w a s ordered paid, with the understanding that this completes M r . Piatt's architectural services in connection with the c a m p u s plan. T h e appropriation w a s m a d e b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Armstrong, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, D r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . CONTRACT FOR FLOORS IN NEW PHARMACY BUILDING (23) The Supervising Architect and Schmidt, Garden, & Martin, the architects for the new Pharmacy Building, recommend that the Board rescind its action of April 14 and award the contract for the mastic floors in the new building to the Insulite Chemical Company on the basis of their bid of $1171.91. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, the action of April 14, 1926 (page 569, line 24), w a s rescinded. O n motion of M r s . Evans, the contract for mastic floors w a s awarded to the Insulite Chemical C o m p a n y as recommended. LIBRARY-GYMNASIUM WALK (24) The Supervising Architect submits the following list of bids received on the proposed eight-foot walk south of the N e w Library and extending west to Fourth Street and recommends that the contract be awarded to English Brothers on the basis of the low bid of $3543English Brothers $3,543.00 Sowers & Corkery 3,960.00 Walter Villard 4,024.00 Ellis Brooks 4,383.00 King & Petry 4,396.00 I concur in the recommendation. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, this recommendation w a s adopted.

(25) I recommend the adoption of the following resolutions submitted by Mr. A. R. Hall approving his action in the distribution of certain personal property of Mr. Joseph Carter, and relieving the executor, Albert H. Barber, of responsibility concerning real estate, and giving the Comptroller, Mr. Lloyd Morey, authority to make the necessary improvements in said real estate, indicated in his letter of M a y 10 addressed to the President of the University, and to rent said real estate, and that an
