APPOINTMENT OF DR. C. A. HEDBLOM (20) A recommendation by Dean D. J Davis that Dr. C. A. Hedblom be . appointed Professor and Head of the Department of Surgery, on indefinite tenure, at a salary of $7,500 a year, on a part time basis (approximately three-fourths time), beginning October I, 1925, or as soon thereafter as he may report for duty. I concur. On motion of Mr. Trees, this recommendation was approved.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR ROBERT M. OSLUND

(21) I recommend that Dr. Robert M . Oslund be appointed Assistant Professor of Physiology in the College of Medicine, for one year from September I, 1925, at a salary of $4,000. O n motion of M r s . Ickes, this appointment w a s made. APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR ANDREW IRVING ANDREWS (22) On recommendation of Dean Ketchum, I have approved the appointment of Andrew Irving Andrews to the position of Assistant Professor of Ceramic Engineering for two years from September 1, 1925, at an annual salary of $3,500, subject to confirmation by the Board. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this appointment w a s confirmed. APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR RAY STANLEY MARSH (23) On recommendation of Dean Mumford, I have approved the appointment of Ray Stanley Marsh to the position of Assistant Professor of Horticultural Extension, for a period beginning September 8, 1925, and ending September 1, 1926, at a salary of $3,000, subject to confirmation by the Board. O n motion of M r . W h a m , this appointment w a s confirmed. APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR R. H. WILCOX (24) I recommend the appointment of R. H. Wilcox to the position of Assistant Professor of Farm Organization and Management for ten months beginning October 1, 1925, and ending July 31, 1926, at a salary of $300 a month. O n motion of M r . Barr, this appointment w a s m a d e .

CHANGE OF STATUS OF PROFESSOR H. C. M. CASE

(25) Dean Mumford recommends that the rank of Assistant Professor H. C. M . Case of the Department of Farm Organization and Management be increased to Associate Professor of Farm Management in the College, and Associate Chief in Farm Management in the Station, without any increase in salary. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . Trees, this recommendation was approved. WITHDRAWAL OF RESIGNATION OF DEAN F. B. MOOREHEAD (26) At the meeting of the Board on July 28, President Kinley submitted the resignation of Dean F. B. Moorehead of the College of Dentistry. N o action was taken on this matter. Dean Moorehead has withdrawn his resignation and will remain as Dean of the College of Dentistry and Professor of Oral Surgery. His name and salary have been restored to the budget. This report w a s received for record. SALARY OF PROFESSOR H. B. DORNER (27) Dean Mumford recommends, and I concur, that the s l r of P o e s r aay rfso H. B. Dorner be advanced from $4,500 to $5,000 a year (instead of $4,750 a9 recommended in the budget), to be effective September 1, 1925. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation w a s approved.
