September n, 1925 Board of Trustees, University of Illinois Gentlemen: Re: "Pharmacy Building" W e wish to record herein the terms upon which you employ us as Architects for your proposed new Pharmacy Building, to be erected on Wood Street, near Harrison Street in the City of Chicago. Our charge for complete professional services of the Architect for new work of this kind is six ( 6 % ) percent of the cost of the work complete, and ten (10%) percent for remodeling work in adjacent buildings installed or constructed subsequent to the construction of the new building. For this fee we will furnish complete plans and specifications, supervise the erection of the building, take all bids, draw all contracts, issue all Architects' certificates, and perform every sort of Architects' services in accordance with the professional practice of Architects as published by the American Institute of Architects, Document #177, a copy of which is attached hereto; however, with the following modifications: Re: Article # 5 : W e will furnish the services of heating, ventilating, electrical and mechanical engineers and make no further charge for such services. There will be no charge for transportation, or living expenses unless you request us to examine or inspect work for your benefit, in another city, other than Chicago. Re: Article # 6 : W e will make no additional charge i work is let under f separate lump sum contracts. It is understood and agreed between you and ourselves that i you see fit f to discontinue our services after complete plans and specifications are prepared that our charges for plans and specifications shall be 454 percent on the estimated cost of the new building. W e understand that the total appropriation, including furnishing, is $350,000. Trusting that the terms as outlined are satisfactory to you, we are Yours very truly, Richard E. SPECIAL APPROPRIATION FOR PROSTHETIC DENTISTRY (10) I recommend that the sum of $300 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to the Department of Prosthetic Dentistry as a special equipment item for the purchase of models as requested by Dean Moorehead. LOAN TO J. E. CHUBBUCK

(11) The Legal Counsel, Dean of Men, and Comptroller recommend that the note of J. E. Chubbuck, deceased, covering a loan of $75 from the McKinley Fund granted him in 1914, be written off against the accumulated income of the Fund. I concur in this recommendation. O n motion of M r . Armstrong, this recommendation w a s approved.
