1925] UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS 199 A P P O I N T M E N T O F P R O F E S S O R M A X W E L L JAY D O R S E Y (9) On recommendation of Professor Blair and Dean Mumford I recommend the appointment of Professor Maxwell Jay Dorsey of Morgantown, West Virginia, as Professor of Pomology and Chief in Pomology in the Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, for a term of two years beginning September 1, 1925 (or July 1 at discretion of the President) at a salary of $5000 a year. O n motion of M r s . Grigsby, the President of the University was authorized to m a k e this appointment. APPOINTMENT OF DR. ADOLPH HARTUNG (10) On recommendation of Acting Dean Davis I recommend the appointment of Dr. Adolph Hartung to the position of Professor of Radiology in the College of Medicine, on one-half time, at a salary rate of $4200, or #350 a month, effective immediately and continuing until September 1, 1925; the salary to be charged to the appropriation for the new medical organization in connection with the new hospital. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this appointment was made. TITLE OF PROFESSOR BACHEM (11) A recommendation that the title of Dr. Albert Bachem be changed from Professor of Radiology to Professor of Bio-physics. This recommendation was approved. APPOINTMENT OF HILDA M. CROLL (12) On recommendation of Professor Ruth Wardall and approval of Dean M u m ford, I recommend that Miss Hilda M . CroU be appointed Assistant Professor of Home Economics at an annual salary of $3,000 for two years, effective September I, 1925. O n motion of M r . Trees, this appointment was made.
