On motion of Mrs. Grigsby, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Armstrong, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mrs. Ickes, Mr. Noble, Mr. Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Small. CONTRACT FOR HEATING AND VENTILATING THE N E W GYMNASIUM (13) Under authority given by you, Professor James M . White, Supervising Architect, received on June 30 bids for the heating and ventilating of the Men's Gymnasium, and the Executive Committee was authorized to award the contract. He submits them as given below, and asks (inasmuch as there has been no meeting of the Executive Committee) that you award the contract to the lowest bidder, namely, the Moline Heating and Construction Company. Trees, this contract was awarded to the lowest bidder, the Moline Heating and Construction C o m p a n y . INSURANCE ON CHICAGO BUILDINGS (14) A recommendation that an appropriation of $851 be made from the Reserve and Contingent Fund to provide for $80,000 additional insurance on the Chicago buildings. O n motion of M r s . Blake, this appropriation was made, by the following vote: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r s . Ickes, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r . Small. USE OF SEAL IN STATIONERY (15) A request from a manufacturer of paper for permission to make and s l el stationery containing a watermark of the University seal. N o action was taken on this matter. APPROPRIATION FOR CLEANING MILITARY UNIFORMS (16) The Commandant requests an appropriation of $720 for the cleaning and renovating of 800 military overcoats which belong to the University. I recommend that this amount be assigned from the Reserve and Contingent fund for that purpose. O n motion of M r s . Evans, this recommendation was approved. T h e vote was as follows: Aye, M r . APPROPRIATION FOR INTEREST AND TAXES FOR 1924 TO 1925 (17) The Comptroller requests that an appropriation of $2000 be made to cover the interest on unpaid balances of land purchases and taxes assumed on properties purchased for the year 1924-25. I recommend that this amount be assigned from the Reserve and Contingent fund for that purpose.
