APPROPRIATION TO MEET CHARGES ON PROPERTY PURCHASED

(18) The Comptroller requests an appropriation of $5,442 to meet charges on properties acquired by the University. I recommend that this appropriation 'be made. O n motion of M r . Trimble, this appropriation w a s m a d e , b y the following vote: A y e , M r . Abbott, M r s . Busey, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Herbert, M r . Hoit, M r . Noble, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Blake, M r . Small. F E E S IN M U S I C (19) A recommendation that certain regulations governing fees in the School of Musk, adopted April 12, 1922 (see page 183), be amended to read as follows: 1. That a special fee of $25 a semester be charged for instruction, in applied music of students enrolled in the School of Music or in the course in music education in the College of Education, beginning September 1, 1922. 2. That a special fee of $25 a semester be charged for one half-hour lesson a week in applied music through the semester, of all students eqrolled in other colleges of the University who are taking collegiate work in applied music; and that a special fee of $10 a semester be charged all students enrolled in other colleges of the University who are taking introductory work in applied music, beginning September 1, 1922. O n motion of M r s . Evans, these a m e n d m e n t s were approved. INCREASE IN TELEPHONES (20) The Supervising Architect requests permission to increase the number of Bell telephones from 112, as previously authorized, to 122. I recommend approval. This request w a s approved. A t this point M r s . Blake took her place with the Board. PROPOSED BUILDING PROGRAM (21) I recommend fer tentative' approval the following Hst of buildings for submission in our next budget to the Legislature: 1. Library Building and Equipment. .
