PHILBRICK IN LAW (12) A r p r that Dean Harno and V c - r s d n Davenport had completed eot iePeiet negotiations with Professor F. S. Philbrick, of Northwestern University, for appointment to a Law School Professorship, for which provision was made in the budget, at a salary of $6000. This report was received for record. At this point, M r . Hoit took his place with the Board. SALARIES IN THE COLLEGE OF LAW (13) A request for (a) authority to add not to exceed £1000 to the salary budget in the College of Law to adjust the salaries of certain professors, not to exceed $500 in any one case: and (b) that the tenure of Professor Pomeroy be changed from one year to the indefinite basis. O n motion of M r . Herbert, both these requests were granted and the appropriation was m a d e by the following vote: Aye, M r . Abbott, M r s . Blake, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . PAVEMENT ASSESSMENTS (15) A recommendation that an appropriation of $1632.90 be made from the Reserve and Contingent fund to pay m full the assessment for the North Mathews Avenue pavement, adjoining the Education Building, lots 4-9, inclusive, block 55, Seminary Addition to Urbana ($1353.90), and also the assessment for opening and widening North Ashland Avenue between Irving Park Boulevard and West Lake Street in Chicago ($279).
