THE BUDGET FOR 1923-24 (22) The Budget f r 1923-24, with a recommendation that the Budget be apo proved and that the President of the University be authorized to make such minor changes and adjustments as may be necessary, and to make necessary additional appointments in accordance with the general salary scale. During the presentation of the Budget, President Noble, being called from the room, requested M r . Trimble to preside. O n motion of M r . Herbert, the Budget w a s approved and the President of the University w a s authorized to m a k e such changes and adjustments as m a y be necessary. This motion was passed with the understanding that the President of the University should recast the budget of the College of Dentistry in accordance with the policy approved at this meeting.1 T h e vote was as follows: Aye, M r . Armstrong, M r s . Blake, M r s . Evans, M r s . Grigsby, M r . Herbert, M r . Noble, M r . Trees, M r . Trimble; no, none; absent, M r . Blair, M r s . Busey, M r . Small. Explanatory Note Departmental appropriations are made under the captions "Salaries" and "Expense and Equipment" unless otherwise indicated. N o transfers may be made between these appropriation captions except with the approval of the President of the University. Appropriations for Expense and Equipment in departments of colleges are made as a tentative distribution subject to adjustment by the Dean of the College within the totalfor the college. The Dean will indicate at the opening of the year the preliminary assignments to departments, and make such further adjustments during the year as are necessary. ESTIMATED GENERAL INCOME I.
