LEAVE OF ABSENCE FOR PROFESSOR RUEHE

(10) A recommendation that Mr. H. A. Ruehe be granted leave of absence from his duties as Assistant Professor of Dairy Husbandry and Acting Head of the Department, without salary, from October 15,1920, to June 30,1921. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this recommendation was approved.

REQUEST OF AMERICAN LEGION

(11) A letter from Captain H. E. Babbitt, inquiring whether the Board would take further action concerning the petition of the American Legion (page 854, June 15,1920) for a site for a County Community Memorial Building. No action was taken in this matter.

LOCKER FEE I N WOMEN'S G Y M N A S I U M

(12) A recommendation that the locker fee in the women's gymnasium be increased to $2.00 a year. On motion of Mrs, Evans, this recommendation was approved.

SPECIAL. APPARATUS FOR WOMEN'S G Y M N A S I U M

(13) A recommendation that $300 of the receipts from fees in the women's gymnasium be appropriated for special apparatus for the women's gymnasium. On motion of Mrs. Busey, this appropriation was made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr, Trimble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blake, Mr. Herbert, Mr, Lowden, Mr. Ward.

NEW LABORATORY FEES IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

(14) ^ A recommendation from the Council of Administration that two new laboratory fees in Mechanical Engineering to cover the cost of blue prints and mimeographed sheets to be supplied to the students be approved as follows: M. E. 43 $1.50 M. E. 52 1.00 On motion of Mr, Abbott, these fees were approved. C O N T R A C T WITH T H E FEDERAL B O A R D FOR VOCATIONAL EDUCATION (15) A recommendation that the contract below made with the Federal Government through the Federal Board for Vocational Education by Mr. Charles W. Sylvester, district vocational officer, for instruction given disabled soldiers,be approved. This contract is substantially that under which we operated during the past University year.
