UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR W. L. SUMMERS TO THE COLLEGE OF LAW

(5) A recommendation that Professor W. L. Summers be appointed Professor of Law, in place of Professor W. G. Hale, and to discharge the duties performed by Professor Hale as editor of the Law Bulletin, for two years, beginning September 1, 1920, at a salary of four thousand dollars (#4000) a year.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this appointment was made.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR F. C. DIETZ (6) A recommendation that Dr. F. C. Dietz be appointed Assistant Professor of History, for one year, beginning September 1, 1920, at a salary'of twenty-seven hundred dollars ($2700).

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this appointment was made.

APPOINTMENT OF MR. H. D. TRIMBLE (7) A request for authority to appoint Mr. H. D. Trimble Assistant High-School Visitor, for one year, beginning September 1, 1920, at a salary of twenty-five hundred dollars ($2500).

On motion of Mrs. Evans, this appointment was authorized.

APPOINTMENT OF MR. C. M. M'CONN (8) A recommendation that the appointment of Mr. C. M. McConn as Assistant to the President (see page 771, June 2, 1920) be continued, and that Mr. McConn be appointed also Private Secretary to the President, for one year beginning September 1, 1920, with total salary at the rate of five thousand dollars ($5000) a year.

On motion of Mr. Abbott, this appointment was authorized at the salary indicated, with the understanding that the title of the position shall be brought up for reconsideration at the September meeting of the Board.

REVISED SALARY BUDGET FOR REGISTRAR'S OFFICE (9) A recommendation that the following revised salary budget for the Registrar's office for the year beginning September 1, 1920, be approved.
