BOARD OF TRUSTEES

a full Department, or better still, a School of Journalism. We, therefore, recommend to the President of the University and the Board of Trustees that they take action which will carry out the plan as above outlined.

This resolution was received for record and the President of the University was requested to consider the matter and to make such recommendations as he may think necessary.

COMPENSATION FOR INJURED EMPLOYEES (8) A recommendation that the following claims for compensation for injuries to employees be allowed as approved by the University committee, and that the money be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund. On motion of Mr. Hoit, these recommendations were concurred in. The appropriation was made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Hoit; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Noble, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble.

STADIUM TREASURER

President Abbott reported the resignation of Mr. W. A. Heath, Stadium Treasurer. On motion of Mrs. Blake, this resignation was accepted and the Executive Committee was authorized to appoint another Stadium Treasurer.

COMMITTEE ON RETIRING ALLOWANCES

President Abbott presented a report of progress in the work of the committee on retiring allowances and disability insurance.

APPOINTMENTS TO FILL VACANCIES

The Secretary presented for record the following list of appointments made by President Kinley:

Arnold, J. W., Assistant in Mathematics, for ten months, beginning September 1, 1922, at a salary of one hundred forty dollars (#140) a month. (May 17, 1922)* Brarris, Julius, Assistant in Medicine, from April 20, 1922, to September 1, 1922, to give two hours a week, at a compensation of two dollars ($2.00) an hour. (May 19, 1922) Bushyager, G. R., Assistant in Mathematics, on one-half time, for ten months, beginning September 1, 1922, at a salary of sixty dollars (#60) a month. (May 17, 1922)
