I recommend also that $300 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund to meet the expenses of negotiating this purchase.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, these recommendations were approved. The appropriations involved were made by the following vote: Aye. Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs" Grigsby, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble; no, none; absent, Mr* Small, Mr. Trimble.

MILITARY SCHOLARSHIPS (9) A recommendation that the name of Military Scholarships for commissioned officers in the Military Brigade and for members of the Band, be changed to Military Student Assistantships.

On motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was adopted.

G I F T O F O N E H U N D R E D D O L L A R S F R O M M R S . R. V. C R A M (10) A report of the acceptance of a gift from Mrs. R. V. Cram, of Minneapolis, of one hundred dollars as a nucleus of a loan fund to be known as the Grace Darling Memorial Loan Fund. Mrs. Cram has been informed of the ruling of the Board relating to the accepting of small gifts and acquiesces in our plan to merge this with other small loan funds at the end of twenty-five years.

R E S I G N A T I O N O F M I S S F A N N I E M. B R O O K S (11) Miss Fannie M. Brooks, a member of the Extension StafFof the Department of Home Economics, on leave of absence at the Mt.Sinai Training School for Nurses in New York, writes me that she has decided to stay in that institution. Therefore I have accepted her resignation.

L O T S O N NEVADA S T R E E T P U R C H A S E D (12) A recommendation that lots 27 and 28, on the south side of Nevada street, in Urbana, be purchased from Professor C. T. Knipp for $4000 each. These lots, which are east of the Woman's Residence Hall, are each 6$ by 147 feet, and are free from all encumbrances.

On motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was approved. The appropriation was made from the Reserve and Contingent fund by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs, Grigsby, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble; no, none; absent, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble.

YEATS PROPERTY P U R C H A S E D

(13) A recommendation that the Yeats property, one acre of land with a four-room house, between Mount Hope and Rose Lawn Cemeteries, South of the Military Stables be purchased for $4000.

On motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was approved. The appropriation was made from the Reserve and Contingent fund by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble; no, none; absent, Mr. Small, Mr. Trimble.

L E A V E O F A B S E N C E F O R P R O F E S S O R FOLSOM (14) A recommendation that leave of absence on one-half pay be granted to Assistant Professor J. W. Folsom for the academic year beginning September 1,1922.

This recommendation was approved.
