ILLINOIS M U N I C I P A L LEAGUE FELLOWSHIP (7) A recommendation that the offer of the Illinois Municipal League to establish a fellowship with a stipendium of $500 a year, the appointee to be on one-half time as fellow and to devote the other half of his time to the League.

On motion of Mr. Hoit, this offer was accepted, subject to the rules of the University.

S T U D E N T S FROM T H E U. S. NAVAL A C A D E M Y (8) A request for authority to arrange to give special advanced instruction in engineering subjets to certain graduates of the U. S. Naval Academy who may be assigned to the University for this work.

On motion of Mr. Noble, this request was granted.

A D D I T I O N A L SICK LEAVE FOR PROFESSOR KOLLER (9) A recommendation that leave of absence on one-half pay for the second semester be granted to Assistant Professor A. H. Roller to enable him to recover from his.illness (see page 102).

On motion of Mrs. Blake, this recommendation was concurred in.

NIRIDER PROPERTY (10) A recommendation that the sum of $4,100 be appropriated from the Reserve and Contingent fund for the purchase of the remaining three-fifths of the Nirider tract as soon as our Legal Counsel is satisfied as to the validity of the title (see page 126).

On motion of Mr. Trimble, this purchase was ordered. The vote was as follows: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble, Mr. Trimble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Small.

A C C I D E N T COMPENSATION (11) A recommendation that claims for injuries to employees be paid as allowed by the Committee on Accident Compensation as follows: Case of Horace Powell— To University Hospital $3-S° Case of Harold Ryeden— To Dr. J. S. Mason 2.00 Case of James Quick— To Dr. E. S. Smith 1.50

On motion of Mrs. Evans, this recommendation was approved. The appropriation from the Reserve and Contingent fund was made by the following vote: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Noble, Mr. Trimble; no, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mrs. Grigsby, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Small.
