The following statement: The Board has voted not to renew the lease for Illini Hall, (page 235). The Illinois Union has leased the building and has asked for the use of the kitchen and dining room equipment belonging to the University which is now in the cafeteria in the basement. The inventory (cost) value of this equipment is approximately $10,000. The Comptroller estimates a present value of from $6,000 to $7,500. I recommend that the President of the University be authorized to rent this equipment to the Illinois Union on such terms as to amounts and times of payment as may be agreed upon.
