LEAVE OF A B S E N C E FOR MR. JOHN P I E P E R (3) A recommendation that Mr. John Pieper, Associate in Crop Production, be given leave of absence without pay for one month beginning July 23, 1921, for graduate study at the University of Wisconsin.

This recommendation was approved.

WOMAN'S LOAN F U N D , SCHOOL. OF PHARMACY The following statement: The Woman's Organization of the Chicago Retail Druggists' Association has given the University, through Dean Day, a check for $116 to be added to the previous donation of $115 by the same organization for a loan fund for woman students in the School of Pharmacy. I recommend that this gift be accepted, and that the Secretary be asked to express the appreciation of the Board to the Woman's Organization of the C. R. D. A. (4)

This recommendation was approved.

G I F T TO T H E MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY (5) A report of his action in accepting a gift of 850 pamphlets and 35 bound volumes belonging to the late Mr. A. A. Hinkley whose collection of Mollusca was purchased by the University recently. These volumes are presented by Mr. J. M. Hinkley of
