MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS June 13, 1921 A special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois was held at the University, in Urbana, at 10 o'clock a. m. on Monday, June 13, 1921, pursuant to the following notice which was sent out by the Secretary on June 7, 1921. On the call of the> President, Mr. W. L. Abbott, there will be a special meeting of the Board of Trustees of the University of Illinois at the University, in Urbana, at 10 o'clock a. m. on Monday, June 13, 1921, to consider matters to be presented by the President of the University and by the Committees of the Board, and such other matters as may be duly submitted. Grigsby. P r e s i d e n t Kinley w a s p r e s e n t . M I N U T E S APPROVED The Secretary presented the minutes of the meeting of April 15, 1921. On motion of Mr. Hoit, the minutes were approved as printed on pages 209 to 229 above. EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING, JUNE 7, 1921 A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees ol the* University of Illinois was held by long distance telephone on Tuesday, June 7, 1921. All the members of the Committee, Mr. W. L. Abbott, Mrs. Mary E. Busey, and Mr. O. W. Hoit, were communicated with. President Kinley requested authority to confer degrees on the candidates recommended by the respective faculties of the departments in Chicago at the Commencement exercises on Saturday, June 11, 1921 This action was necessary because the matter was not brought up at the April meeting, as the intention was to hold a meeting in May. All members of the Executive Committee concurred in authorizing the granting of these degrees. H. E. CUNNINGHAM, Clerk W. L. ABBOTT, Chairman OTIS W. HOIT MARY E.
