Note that no provision was made in the budget of Agricultural College Extension for the handling of this amount of Miss Phillips's salary. Arrangements have been made, however, between Professor Handschine and Professor Rankin, to transfer certain items of expense for the year 1919-20 (to the extent of 3500), incurred by Agricultural College Extension, to the SmithLever Agricultural Extension, to the Smith-Lever Agricultural Extension Service, thereby increasing the balance to be carried into next year by Agricultural College Extension and making it possible for that department to make the payment indicated.
