I recommend that the record show that these resolutions have been read and presented, and that the Secretary of the Board express the thanks and sympathy of the Board to the communicants through Professor Noyes.

DOCTORATE TO BE CONFERRED FOUR TIMES A YEAR

(12) A recommendation from the University Senate that the degree of Doctor of Philosophy he conferred four times a year, in August, October, and February, as well as in June, to conform to our practise In conferring other degrees.

This recommendation was approved.

CHANGE IN GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS

(13) A recommendation of the faculty of the €ollege of Commerce, approved by the University Senate, to require for graduation in the accountancy curriculum two new courses, Cost Accounting and Systems, four hours, Income Tax Procedure, two hours.

CHANGES m T H E GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS FLORICULTURE IN

(14) A recommendation of the University Senate that the requirements Cor graduation In the curriculum in Floriculture be amended as follows: (a) That Horticulture 4 be reduced from 4 hours to 3 hours. <b) That Horticulture 5 be reduced from 5 hours to 3 hours. (c) That the work of Horticulture 15a, 15b, and 30, 15 hours In all, be reduced to 12 hours and be reorganized and offered as Horticulture 15a/15b, 15c, and 30. (d) That Horticulture 43, Greenhouse Fertilizers, Horticulture 45, Plant Nutrition, and Business Organization and Operation 1 be added to the required work. (e) That Economies 1 be substituted for Economics 2 as required work. *

PROFESSOR E. iL* S0GAJST MADE H E A D OF DEPARTMENT OF ECONOMICS

(15) A request from Professor Weston to be relieved of his duties as Actirag Head of the Department of Economics. With the approval of Dean Thompson I recommend that the request be approved and that Professor E. L. Bogart be made head of the Department of Economics, beginning September 1, 1920, and that his salary be made ?5;000.
