SEMI-CENTENNIAL ALUMNI (29) A recommendation from the Comptroller. December 3, 1919. President David Kinky, University of Illinois

M Y DEAR PRESIDENT KINLEY:

RECORD

The charges against the Semi-Centennial Alumni Record for the present fiscal year exceed the amount standing to its credit on our books by the sum of $3,199.49. The only credit consists of the sum carried forward from the appropriation made in 191849, the balance being $2,899.85, which was expected to meet'the final bill for printing. However, that bill together with other expenditures made since July 1st, have exceeded this amount by the sum of $3,199.49. There is no provision in our budget for this overdraft. The appropriation for General Publications was not estimated to cover the Alumni Record and the only other publication which is not being drawn against in full is the News Bulletin, in which there is a balance of about $900. Cordially yours,

LLOYD MOREY

On motion of Mr. Trimble, the sum of $3,250 or so much thereof as may be necessary was appropriated for the Semi-Centennial Alamni Record. The vote was as follows: Aye, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Blake, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Trimble, Mr. Ward; No, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Herbert, Mr. Lowden.
