GIFT OF PLOW (17) The following letter from Dean Davenport: December 2, 1919 Acting President David Kinley> University of Illinois

M Y DEAR MR. PRESIDENT:

We are in receipt of a donation from Dr. E. S. Fry of Naperville, consisting of an old time prairie breaking plow and the ox yoke and chain that go with it. This is a very great relic of the early days which Dr. Fry has been good enough to turn over to the University. May I recommend that the Secretary of the Board of Trustees be requested to address a suitable acknowledgment to Dr. Fry and to direct the donation be properly labeled with the name of the donor? Very truly yours,

E. DAVENPORT

This gift was accepted with thanks.
