DEAR SIR:

Building

There is one phrase of the automobile situation which you can settle now as you see fit. I sold the wreck of my Stdddard-Dayton for $50.00. I had offered the machine for sale before it was damaged, for $200.00. I therefore consider my loss on account of the fire in the old Boiler House to be $150.00. Yours truly,

JAMES M. W H I T E ,

Supervising Architect The Comptroller has been instructed to issue a check to Professor White for $150.00 in settlement of the full loss.

(28) A report from Professor Stebbins concerning his trip as delegate to the conference of the International Research Council and International Astronomical Union, The report of Professor Stebbins is too long to print here. It covers the subjects of 1. Opportunities for American Students in English Universities. 2. The exchange of professors. 3. Report to the Library on purchases which Dr. Stebbins was authorized to make, and 4. A report on arrangements for exchange of publications with societies in England and Belgium. The report seems to justify the wisdom of sending Professor Stebbins to these meetings. His expenses were within the appropriation made.

REMISSION OF INCIDENTAL FEES TO MR. JEAN LEGALL (29) A recommendation that fees in the case of Mr. Jean LeGall be remitted, as requested by Professor McKenzie in the following letter, which is approved by Dean Daniels.
