The President of the University presented the following matters for*consideration:

ADDITIONAL. F U N D S FOR A G R I C U L T U R E (1) A request from the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of the Agricultural Experiment Station for an assignment of additional funds.

This matter was carefully considered but no action was taken.

FINAL S T A T E M E N T , S. M. A. The final statement of the School of Military Aeronautics. FROM: TO: S UBJECT: The Director of Air Service The University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois School of Military Aeronautics

1. This office has carefully considered your letters in reference to the final settlement of accounts at your school, and does not believe that it is expedient to attempt to accept, as a gift from you, the funds received by you for the operation of the School of Military Aeronautics, over and above expenditures made by you in connection therewith. Your kind offices in this respect are highly appreciated. Perhaps you can put this fund to use in establishing, as a part of the curriculum of the University, a course in aeronautical engineering, which will be of permanent value to the development of the science of aeronautics. 2. Enclosed is a release, which it is desired that you execute and return to this office. By the direction of the Director of Air Service.
