(61) A copy of agreement entered into between the University of Illinois, by David Kinley, Vice-President, and Captain Frank C. Hendry, Commandant of the School of Military Aeronautics, approved by the President of the University, concerning the matter of settling the accounts between the University and the School of Military Aeronautics. THIS AGREEMENT entered into this 25th day of January, 1919* between Captain Frank C. Hendry, Commandant of the School of Military Aeronautics, and the University of Illinois by David Kinley, Vice President, University of Illinois, provides that the accompanying exhibits of inventoriable equipment and buildings charged as an expense in the accounts of the School of Military Aeronautics of the University of Illinois, and of the salvage value of same as summarized on pages 57 and 59, shall serve as the basis for the transfer of all said equipment and building construction to the University of Illinois, and in consideration of said transfer, the University agrees to pay the sums of $5,869.68, $4,886.13 and $1,500.00, a total of $12,255.81 for said equipment and building construction, and that to this will be added in final settlement of all accounts of the School of Military Aeronautics, whatever balance on the tuition account the University has received from the Government over and above the actual cost to the University of the operation of the school. MEDICAL SCHOLARSHIPS (62) Letter from the Comptroller in regard to certain scholarships in the College of Medicine. March 10,1919 President Edmund J. James

My DEAR PRESIDENT JAMES:

I beg to call to your attention the situation regarding a scholarship established in the College of Medicine in 1902 by the Northwestern Branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and known as the Emily W. L. Schofield Scholarship. In 1902 an agreement was entered into between the College of Physicians and Surgeons and the Northwestern Branch of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society, whereby an endowment of $2,000 was paid over to the College by the Missionary Society, under which the College agreed to establish two perpetual scholarships, to be assigned annually to persons nominated by the Missionary Society. The financial results of this agreement are shown in the attached schedule, from which it will appear that during the 17 years in which the scholarships have been in
