M Y DEAR PRESIDENT JAMES:

On January 29 I submitted a schedule showing the proposed distribution of payments for uniforms. I now find that the amount which can be realized from the Government on these uniforms will be $25.27 instead of $20.77. After conference with the Commandant, we have agreed to recommend that the amount to be collected from the students on account of these uniforms be reduced from $6.64 to $5.00, this amount ^representing approximately the value of the shirt and gloves, no charge to be made to the students for other items. Under this plan, the distribution of the contracts would be as follows: Per Man Total Paid by the Government $25.27 $30,324.00 Paid by the student 5.00 6,000.00 Paid by the University (From unused commutations 1917-1918).. 6.34 7,608.00 Totals $36.61 $43,932.00 Cordially yours,

LLOYD MOREY
