BOARD OF TRUSTEES

DEAR SIR:

Our File RW-2003-3 I am in receipt of your letter of June 22nd, in connection with the DuPont Scholarship offered to the University of Illinois, and in reply to your inquiry as to the distribution of this fund, would advise that the method you suggest will be perfectly satisfactory to us. It is our intention to forward to you, within the next few days, our check for $750.00 and it is perfectly agreeable to us to have you dispose of it in the manner you consider most advisable. Assistant Director The Comptroller informs me under date of July n t h that he has received a check for $750 from the E. I. DuPont de Nemours and Company, which he has credited to a trust fund for the use of the "DuPont Fellowship" in Chemistry. On motion of Mrs. Evans this gift was accepted with an expression of cordial thanks for the generosity which inspires it.

EXHIBIT AT STATE FAIR

(6) A recommendation from Professor James M. White that the University prepare certain University films for exhibition at the Illinois State Fair in August of this year at a cost of about five hundred dollars. These films may be used subsequently in connection with exhibits at other places. The Illinois State Centennial Commission desires very much »that the University participate in this way in a Centennial exhibit at the State Fair. On motion of Mr. by the following vote: Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Ward, Miss Watson; Trevett. Carr, this recommendation was approved, Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Blair, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Taggart, Mr. Trimble, Mr. Noes, none; absent, Mr. Lowden, Mr.

PAYROLL SCHEDULE

(7) The payroll schedule made effective July 1, 1918, in accordance with the authority given to Professor White by the Board to draw up and put into force a payroll schedule. While Professor White had the power to act, I request a formal approval of this payroll schedule by the Board.
