2. That the term of instruction be lengthened from thirty-two to thirty-six weeks, in accordance with the above recommendation. 3. That the tuition fee for the shorter curriculum in the School of Pharmacy be made ninety dollars a year instead of seventy-five dollars, this curriculum having been lengthened in accordance with the preceding recommendation. 4. That the quiz fee be abolished. 5. That the curriculum in Pharmaceutical Chemistry be lengthened to three years, the first two years being identical with the curriculum in Pharmacy. On motion of Mr. Carr, these recommendations were approved.

UNEXPIRED BALANCES REAPPROPRIATED

(37) A recommendation that the unexpired balances of the appropriations for the year 1915-16 be re-appropriated for the year 1916-17 to the same uses, subject to the approval of the President of the University. On motion of Mr. Hoit, these balances were reappropriated as recommended. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Small, MiyTrevett.

AUTHORITY TO ACCEPT RESIGNATIONS AND FILL VACANCIES

(38) A request that the President of the University be authorized to accept at his discretion such resignations in the instructional, scientific, and administrative staff as may be presented during the vacation, and that he be authorized to fill within the budget allowance such vacancies as may occur during the vacation because of resignations or declinations. On motion of Mr. Carr, this request was granted.

TEMPORARY CATALOGERS FOR LIBRARY

(39) A request from Director P. L. Windsor for authority to employ fourteen temporary catalogers and library assistants in the University Library for the summer months at a total compensation of $1,835. On motion of Mr. Hoit, this request was granted. The vote was as follows: Ayes, Mr. Abbott, Mrs. Busey, Mr. Carr, Mrs. Evans, Mrs. Henrotin, Mr. Hoit, Mr. Ward, Miss Watson; noes, none; absent, Mr. Blair, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Small, Mr. Trevett. APPOINTMENT OF MR. O. S. WATKINS TERMINATED (40) A letter from Professor J. C. Blair, head of the Department of Horticulture, in the case of Mr. O. S. Watkins.
