IRISH FELLOWSHIP SERIES OF ANCIENT IRISH TEXTS

{26) A number of gentlemen in Chicago have associated themselves into an Irish Foundation Committee to consider the organization of an Irish Text Society of America, the object of which is to publish texts in the Irish language, accompanied by such introductions, English translations, etc., as may seem desirable. This Irish Foundation Committee, of which John P. McGoorty is President and Joseph A. O'Donnell is treasurer, has asked me whether the University would cooperate with the Committee in publishing the Irish Fellowship Series of Ancient Irish texts. The first form of cooperation is a request that the University furnish the Irish Text Society a number of copies of the "Life of Columcille,'', about to be published under the auspices of the Graduate School of the University, at cost price for the purpose of distributing them among the members of the Irish Fellowship Society.

On jtnotion of Mr. Blair, the President of the University was authorized to cooperate with the Irish Fellowship Foundation Committee in this work, and to furnish copies of the "Life of Colunlcille,, to the Irish Fellowship Foundation Committee at cost price. GRADUATES SCHOLARSHIPS AND FELLOWSHIPS

(27) A request from the Dean of the Graduate School for the usual appropriation of $25,000 for fellowships and scholarships in the Graduate School for the year 1918-1919, and for authority for the President of the University to make these appointments.
