I enclose a statement from the Y. M. C. A. with reference to the expenditures which they have made in order to equip the basement of their building for the serving of the aviators, including also the new cafeteria. I requested this statement in order to be sure that none of these expenditures were being charged against our University appropriation. Yours very truly,

CONGRESS ON LABOR PROBLEMS

(6) A recommendation from a committee consisting of Professor H. H. Stoek,; chairman, and Professors F. H. Newell, J. C. Blair, E. B. Greene, Dr. H. E. Hoagland, and Dr. J. G. Stevens, that a congress on Labor Problems resulting from the War be held at the University in January or February, 1918. The expense for stenographic help, postage, printing, travelling expenses of speakers, and other incidentals, is estimated at about $500. The publication of the proceedings, if that should be ultimately decided on, would cost about $500 additional.
